The Seiko Speedtimer, first launched in 1969, was the world's first ever automatic chronograph with a column wheel and vertical clutch. The brand’s strong innovative watchmaking heritage is continued into the present day with this classic chronograph design, updated with a solar movement. This Speedtimer is inspired by the aesthetic of 1960s red classic European cars. Its sapphire crystal glass enhances the matte textured dial and orange index with echoes of a vintage car speedometer. The additional brown punched leather strap is in the style of the classic car interior leather accessories of the steering wheel, seat covers and seatbelt. Powered by an in-house V192 solar-charged movement, this chronograph is accurate to +/- 15 seconds per month, with a 6 month power reserve at full charge, and comes in a special limited edition box. Prospex is a combination of the words 'Professional' and 'Specifications.' Seiko Prospex timepieces are designed to be practical, reliable and durable; to meet the high standards required in extreme environments for sports lovers and adventure seekers alike. This watch is exclusively available in Europe.
